頭頸部がんと告知され、放射線療法、化学療法の治療を受けた患者を対象に半構造化面接で生活体験や闘病への思いに関連する事柄を自由に語ってもらった。分析は、質的内容分析を用いてコード化カテゴリ化した。参加者は5名、全員男性であった。年齢は平均年齢59.8歳、初発がんであった。治療体験について語られた内容から【治療前の揺れる心】【取り戻した回復への意欲】【自立を目指した変化への対応】【食事の変化への順応】【死への意識】【家族への感謝と思いやり】の6カテゴリが抽出された。治療中は、患者が肯定的変化を実感し自己効力感を高めるような看護師の介入が重要である。また、看護師は食生活において困難に直面した患者の思いを傾聴し、栄養士などの専門家とのパイプ役を担うなどのサポートの必要が示唆された。, The significance of this study is to gain insight into nursing interventions suitable for them. Patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer who underwent radiation therapy and chemotherapy. During semi-structured interviews, participants freely discussed topics concerning their life experiences and feelings toward struggles with the disease. The analysis was conducted using qualitative content analysis, and the results were then coded and categorized. Participants were five men with an initial diagnosis of cancer.The mean age was 59.8 years old. The interviews identified the following six categories for treatment experiences: [uncertainty before treatment], [regained motivation for recovery], [adjustment to changes for independence], [adapting to changes in diet], [awareness of death], and [appreciation and kindness toward family members]. During treatment, it is important to implement nursing interventions which would enable patients to experience positive changes and enhance their self-efficacy.
