 note = {市町村に勤務する中堅保健婦の実態を明らかにし、今後これらの保健婦が市町村の保健行政を担うことができる人材として成長していくためにどのような能力が必要かを、10名の中堅保健婦へのインタビューと255名の市町村保健婦へのアンケート調査より検討した。 調査の結果、中堅保健婦は住民のためによい仕事をしたいという意識と、経験に裏付けされた実践力をもち、現場の第一線で積極的に活動していた。しかし、事業の評価や調査研究、市町村全体の保健計画の企画の能力は十分に身に付いていないと感じていた。 中堅保健婦は積極的な実践者としての立場を保った上で、今後さらに企画・調整・研究能力を身につけることが望ましい。そのためには、保健婦達が世代に応じた得意分野を活かしながら保健活動をすすめていく環境をととのえること、また、キャリア形成を重視した研修の制度化が必要である。, The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual conditions of community health nurses and clarify competency of public health nurses in fulfilling there responsibilities in the community health care system.The subjects were 10 interviewed community health nureses and 255 community nurses surveyed by questionnaire. Results revealed that community health nurses were actively working for the welfare of the community with positive attitudes towards their roles in providing optimal care to the population and also confidence in their professional abilities. However, they were aware of their inability to evaluate community health care activities, formulate community health care plans, and conduct surveys and researches. Findings suggest that community health nurses must not just maintain abilities in health promotion activities in the community, but also improve skills in appraisal of performance, community health care planning, and nursing research. It is also suggested that continuous in-service training be instituted in order to strengthen their professional achievement and to create a new work environment which may facilitate development of communication skills between generations of nurses.},
