In addition, the questionnaire covered various other factors that affect their knowledge and attitude toward people with dementia. Data of 113 local welfare commissioners were used for the analysis. The relationship between knowledge and attitude toward people with dementia was evaluated using multiple indicator models.\n【RESULTS】The results indicated that “knowledge of treatment” significantly influenced positive attitude toward dementia. On the other hand, “care experience” and “opportunity to gain knowledge of dementia” significantly affected negative attitude toward dementia.\n【CONCLUSION】The present study showed that providing “knowledge of treatment” can increase positive attitude towards dementia, and “experience of interacting with people having dementia” can lower negative attitude towards
